How to use Halo
Everything you need, on one page.
Get started
- Install. Add Halo from the Chrome Web Store. It works in Chrome, Brave and Edge.
- Open Hyperliquid. Go to app.hyperliquid.xyz. The Halo toolbar appears across the top.
- Pick your tools. Click Addons in the toolbar and switch on what you want.
To see your own positions and PnL, open Profile and connect your wallet. Halo only reads your public address.
Addons
All addons are free. Here's what each one does and what it needs.

Halo Trade
Halo Trade is Halo's own order ticket for Hyperliquid perps. It's the only part of Halo with a fee.
Turn it on (once)
Click Trade in the toolbar, then Turn on Halo Trade. Your wallet asks for two signatures:
- Approve the builder fee: Halo's builder, maximum 0.055%.
- Approve an API wallet named
HaloAgent. This is Halo's trading key.
The trading key is created and kept inside the extension. Websites can't read it. It can place and cancel orders but can never withdraw funds.
Place an order
- Choose the market, Buy or Sell, Market or Limit, and a size in USD.
- Press Review order. You see the size, the worst price and the exact Halo fee.
- Press Confirm. Halo sends the order once and shows Hyperliquid's answer.
Reviews expire after 20 seconds so you always confirm a fresh price. Orders you place here show under Halo open orders, where you can cancel them.
Turn it off
Press Turn off Halo Trade. The trading key is deleted from your browser.

Where it goes
98% buys and burns HYPE, in batches. 1.5% goes to a community pool that may be used for future rewards; nothing is promised. 0.5% goes to the team. See the burn stats.

AI co-pilots
HyperClaude, HyperGPT, HyperGrok and SportEdge use your own AI key from Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI. Add it once in Profile.
- Your key is saved in your browser only and sent only to the AI provider you picked.
- Every other addon works without a key.
Privacy and safety
- Your Hyperliquid orders are untouched. Halo never changes, re-signs, blocks or reroutes orders you place on Hyperliquid's own screen.
- No keys leave your device. AI keys and the Halo Trade key stay in your browser.
- You cap the fee. Hyperliquid enforces the maximum you approved.
- Read-only by default. Only Halo Trade can place orders, and only the ones you confirm.

- Put your code in a public repo.
- Send it through the submit form.
- We review every submission by hand. Approved addons ship in the next Halo release, credited to you.
Addons must be self-contained, read-only, and never touch keys, wallets or fees. Technical details are in the SDK reference.
FAQ
Is Halo free?
Yes. The only fee is on orders you place with Halo Trade, and only when they fill.
Does Halo add a fee to my normal Hyperliquid trades?
No. Orders you place on Hyperliquid's own screen are never touched and pay no Halo fee.
Can Halo withdraw my funds?
No. The Halo Trade key is an API wallet, which Hyperliquid never allows to withdraw.
Do I need an AI key?
Only for HyperClaude, HyperGPT, HyperGrok and SportEdge. Everything else works without one.
How do I stop using Halo Trade?
Open Trade and press Turn off Halo Trade. The key is deleted from your browser.
Where can I see the HYPE burned?
On the stats page.
